Blogging - I feel like I am in a shared studio...one thing I miss about University is you could vent to your art friends and they totally understood you!. I have nearly finished another painting. I am simplifying my subject - something I didn't mean to do, it has just followed on from simplifying my layout / composition (seems logic). Instead of painting large scenes with more people which were turning into urban landscapes, I am painting one or two people in conversation so I am observing more closely communication, facial expression, gestures, body language. I still really enjoy sketching and taking photographs from my usual spots in the bustling CBD. I guess now I am venturing into the personal space of these subjects.

it's a very solitary existence at times, i too often miss bouncing off others as i did once in a creative or school environment. look forward to reading more of your entries and seeing more of your work. thanks for the nice comment.
